Tooele Army Depot Open Detonations – Daily Updates

The Tooele Army Depot has begun their Open Detonation Season, which runs on weekdays through October 31st. Detonations may occur nearly every workday, depending on weather conditions. Residents may hear loud explosions or see dust clouds in the Rush Valley area, typically between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Due to the frequency of these operations, Fairfield Town will not be sending out daily emails about the detonations, as this would result in a high volume of messages and could overwhelm your inbox.

Instead, we strongly encourage residents to follow the Tooele Army Depot on Facebook, where they post daily detonation status updates:
